Stress Reduction, Time Management & Sleep

Time Management

Find a planning system that is portable, paper planner, cellphone, etc. It is easier to update as you go throughout your day.

Make a daily or weekly schedule.

Stress Reduction

Take a stress assessment to better understand your stress. This website will give you proven tips and tools to start managing stress more effectively.

Relax & Unwind
Enjoy one of the 2 brief relaxation exercise that includes beautiful photographs of the University of Florida campus or take a beach vacation at your computer.

Diaphragmatic Breathing
Put your hand on your abdomen, just below your navel. Take a deep breath, bringing the air in through your nose and out through your mouth. You should feel your stomach rising about an inch as you breathe in, and falling about an inch as you breathe out. It is easiest to do when you are laying flat on your back.

60-second Exercise:

As you inhale, count very slowly up to four; as you exhale, count slowly back down to one. Meaning, as you inhale, you say to yourself slowly, "one, two, three, four," as you exhale, you say to yourself slowly, "four, three, two, one." Do this several times.

Sleep

Want more A's? Get more Zzzz's! Watch a brief sleep improvement program. 8 out of 10 UF students would recommend this presentation to a friend who was having difficulty sleeping!
