While not all students feel that stress affects their academic performance negatively, stress-related behaviors and conditions, such as sleep difficulties, anxiety, and cold/flu/sore throat are cited by UF students as factors that impede academic performance.

Did you know? 57.1% of students are somewhat satisfied and 11.6% are very satisfied with how they manage their time. While in the last 12 months, 88.1% of respondents felt overwhelmed by all they had to do.
Stress Reduction
The responsibilities and deadlines of academic life can be overwhelming. During busy weeks or times in the semester, you might find it harder to find time for lunch, socializing with friends, or enjoying hobbies and other activities. Fortunately, there are things you can do to actively reduce your stress and revitalize your mind and body.

Sleep
When we get busy, sleep is typically the first thing we reduce. We need 7-10 hours of sleep each night to perform at our optimal levels. Sleep helps to consolidate memory and learning, and boosts mood and energy level.
