Student and Nonstudent Alachua County Residents Needed

WellFlorida Council is conducting Alachua County Health Needs Assessment for the Alachua County Health Department. Our partners are CHOICES Health Services, as well as area's leading healthcare facilities North Florida Regional Medical Center, Shands healthcare and Palms Medical Group.

We invite Alachua county residents to come and talk to us about health and healthcare in their community. Participate in a group discussion and earn $20 for sharing your thoughts. Call 352-313-6500 x 127 to register. The groups will be conducted in the month of October and are being held for:

1. 18- 24 year old- students and non-students
2. Parents of school age children K-12
3. Gainesville residents (SW, SE, NW, NE)
4. Rural Alachua (Waldo, Micanopy, Hawthorne and Archer)

Fibromyalgia Research Study
University of Florida
(Institutional Review Board approved)
Students or Nonstudents Fibromyalgia Patients Needed

University of Florida researchers are seeking fibromyalgia patients for research studies evaluating possible causes and treatments for Fibromyalgia. A series of non-invasive skin and muscle testing will be done, lasting up to two hours. Participants will receive financial compensation of up to $100.

You may be eligible if you are older than 18, and have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. For more info, please call (352) 265-8901 between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Pain-Free Participants Needed Healthy women (older than 18 years of age) needed to participate in studies evaluating possible causes and treatments for Fibromyalgia. A series of non-invasive sensory testing will be done, lasting up to two hours. Eligible participants will receive financial compensation of up to $100.
