The mission of the University of Florida Student Health Care Center (SHCC) is to help every student achieve optimal health in the pursuit of personal and academic success.

The SHCC is an accredited outpatient clinic staffed by licensed, board-certified medical professionals who provide health and wellness care to UF students. Our medical staff is comprised of physicians (MDs), physician assistants (PAs), advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), registered nurses (RNs) and health support technicians (HSTs).

General Medical Care

Students are assigned a primary care medical team upon entering UF, which means patients to return to the same group of providers for continuity of care.

COVID19 & Flu (Influenza)

Covid19 vaccine series and annual flu shots are available from the main campus (Infirmary Building) and Health Science Center (Dental Tower, Room D2-49), as well as SHCC outreach events across campus. Check Flu & Covid19 page for shot availability.

Immunizations

The Student Health Care Center offers a variety of immunizations to keep students healthy. Find out which vaccines are recommended for you at your next medical appointment.

Laboratory

SHCC staff carry out more than 50 different clinical lab tests employing up-to-date, computer-linked instruments. Our associated off-site reference laboratories can perform essentially any analysis.

Pharmacy

The SHCC Pharmacy is a full-service facility staffed by licensed pharmacists who fill prescriptions written by either in-house or licensed medical providers from other facilities. Also includes mini-drug store!

Allergy Injection Clinic

If you are currently under the care of an allergist and receiving allergy immunotherapy, a registered nurse can administer your allergy shots in the SHCC Allergy Clinic.

Nutrition Services

Currently enrolled students can make an appointment with the Student Health Care Center’s registered dietitian for nutrition education and counseling in Nutrition Services

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy at the Student Health Care Center, operated by the UF Health Rehab Center, hosts licensed physical therapists available to students via referral for short-term care of acute injuries

Student Health Psychiatry

Services offered include psychiatric evaluations, comprehensive treatment planning, coordination of care with other professionals and medication management.

Telehealth

Telehealth at SHCC uses electronic communications to provide health care services. You talk with your health care provider using video chats or messaging through the MyUFLHealth platform.

Travel Services

Planning travel abroad? UF students, faculty and staff can make appointments at SHCC for individualized travel counseling and vaccinations specific to their itinerary.
