General Medical Care
The Student Health Care Center provides a wide variety of general health and wellness services to help keep students at their best, and our providers strive to help students understand common ailments while also providing treatment options. To learn about all available SHCC services, visit the Primary Care and Specialty Care areas of our website.
Students are assigned a primary care medical team upon entering UF. To find out to which medical team you are assigned so you may request an appointment, call (352) 392-1161, then enter 3 and follow the recorded instructions. After learning your team assignment, you may call your team directly to schedule appointments.
Operating much like a small doctor’s office, this system enables patients to return to the same group of providers for continuity of care. Familiar faces are a bonus of this system!
- AFTER-HOURS URGENT MEDICAL CONCERNS: Students experiencing urgent, non-emergency medical concerns after-hours may call the SHCC at (352) 392-1161 for over-the-phone advice. The on-call medical provider can help students determine if they should seek medical treatment from a community facility right away, or if they can wait till regular business hours to be seen at the SHCC.
