FREE flu shots available to UF students on a walk-in basis in Special Clinics. Outreach clinics will cater to UF students, faculty, staff and spouses/partners.
Shots are available at the health department's main clinic, 224 SE 24th St., and the City of Alachua satellite clinic, located in the Hitchcock's shopping plaza on U.S. Highway 441.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that everyone six months and older get the flu vaccine annually.
Shots will be given between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the Infirmary Building Front Lawn, 280 Fletcher Drive. Free tank tops will be given to the first 1,000 vaccinated students.
Long lines were expected at the UF Student Health Care Center on Friday, but the annual flu kick-off has been postponed.
