Stress and anxiety combined are the most reported single greatest health concern and stress is the leading academic impediment among students at the University of Florida. Unfortunately, to cope with high levels of stress, some students engage in negative stress reduction activities including spending excess time on the computer, drinking alcohol and binging on large amounts of food.

As health education leaders at the University of Florida, GatorWell Health Promotion Services uses health promotion strategies to educate UF students about health and wellness topics relevant to the college experience, including healthy stress management strategies.
