Young man with vaccination bandageThe summer is over, but flu season is on it’s way. Do your part to protect yourself and your community by scheduling a no-cost flu vaccine at Student Health!

Did you know that the seasonal flu vaccine changes every year? According to the CDC, seasonal flu vaccines are designed to protect people against the four main groups of flu that research indicates are most likely to spread and cause illness among people during the upcoming flu season, which typically lasts from October to May.

That’s why adults need a seasonal flu (influenza) vaccine every year.  Pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus infections, and ear infections are examples of flu-related complications. Flu vaccine is especially important for people with chronic health conditions, pregnant women, and older adults.
