Shots are available at the health department's main clinic, 224 SE 24th St., and the City of Alachua satellite clinic, located in the Hitchcock's shopping plaza on U.S. Highway 441.

The Florida Department of Health and the SHCC are closely monitoring the situation. Precautions are also being taken to prevent the spread of the disease.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that everyone six months and older get the flu vaccine annually.
Although the risk of an Ebola outbreak in the United States is very low, CDC and partners are taking precautions to prevent this from happening.
