The mission of the University of Florida Student Health Care Center (SHCC) is to help every student achieve optimal health in the pursuit of personal and academic success.
The SHCC is an accredited outpatient clinic staffed by licensed, board-certified medical professionals who provide health and wellness care to UF students. Our medical staff is comprised of physicians (MDs), physician assistants (PAs), advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), registered nurses (RNs) and health support technicians (HSTs).
Students are assigned a primary care medical team upon entering UF, which means patients to return to the same group of providers for continuity of care.
Emergency and urgent care facilities are available to students during regular business hours and after hours. For emergencies, please call 911.
Flu shots are available from the main campus (Infirmary Building) and Health Science Center (Dental Tower, Room D2-49), as well as SHCC outreach events across campus. Check Flu page for shot availability.
The Student Health Care Center offers a variety of immunizations to keep students healthy. Find out which vaccines are recommended for you at your next medical appointment.
SHCC staff carry out more than 50 different clinical lab tests employing up-to-date, computer-linked instruments. Our associated off-site reference laboratories can perform essentially any analysis.
The SHCC Pharmacy is a full-service facility staffed by licensed pharmacists who fill prescriptions written by either in-house or licensed medical providers from other facilities. Also includes mini-drug store!
The Student Health Care Center Radiology and EKG staff is here to assist you with tests ordered by your medical provider.
