How to Continue Allergy Injections at SHCC

Step 1:

Pre-register as a patient. Please call the SHCC at 352-392-1161 to pre-register. When prompted, select option 1 (“Make an appointment”), then option 4 to connect with the allergy injection clinic. This is a crucial first step. Skipping this step can cause delays.

Step 2:

Before coming to Gainesville and starting your education at UF, please present our detailed document, Allergy Injection Clinic Welcome Document, to your current allergist. Your allergist’s staff will prepare your allergy documents and vial(s) for the mail OR they may give them directly to you. Our Allergy Injection Clinic must have these documents to proceed.

Step 3:

All new patients will be directed to schedule an ALLERGY CONSULT with an SHCC provider. This brief visit will enable our staff to familiarize themselves with your medical history in the event of any medical emergencies/urgencies that may occur during the course of your allergy treatments.

Step 4:

After the allergy injection clinic has received the appropriate documents and vials from your allergist, the SHCC will contact you to schedule your first appointment.

Please note: Upon receipt of documents and vial(s) received by mail, the SHCC allergy nurse will contact you at the phone number provided by your allergist.

NOTE: A fee applies for allergy injections; please verify coverage with your insurance company. For additional information, visit our Fees and Insurance area.
